2) Follow your nose Some scents such as rosemary and coffee beans can help keep you alert. The best by far is peppermint. A study showed that smelling peppermint can lower fatigue by 15%, increase alertness by 30% and decrease frustration by 25%!
2) Take a power nap Eventually your eyes fill get tired. Set an alarm and take a 15-minute nap.
3) Be uncomfortable Sit in a hard chair with a straight back. This will make you less likely to fall asleep.
4) Keep hydrated Exhaustion isn't your only foe late at night. If you constantly are getting up to get a drink, you'll never get anywhere. Keep away from warm drinks, especially those with milk. Cold, sugary drinks are best.
5) Don't snack too much Our bodies want to sleep after a big meal so keep snacking at a minimum. Also stick to spiced or sweet food.
6) Listen Play light music in the background. The more energetic, the better. Still, If you like to dance, this may not be the best idea.
7) Refresh Every hour or two wash your face and brush your teeth. The cold water will energize you and the minty freshness will keep you going.
8) Stimulate your brain Increased carbon dioxide in the brain stimulates the brain. To achieve this, breathe in and out of a paper bag.
9) Stimulate your muscles Take a walk around every couple hours to keep your heart at a steady rate and prevent your body from shutting down.
